There is a slight distance between this station to the actual town of Marina Bay or the Marina Bay Sands, where the upcoming Marina One Residences, a mixed-use development is located, that most of the tourist people thought that Marina Bay MRT Station is the exit station because of the obvious title, but they should have exit the Bayfront station instead. The Orchard Road is also nearby who is proud to have full set of amenities as well as the trending Orchard condo for sale.
This station is well ready for any danger coming in as they are one of the four stations that was participated in Exercise Northstar V. This exercise has accumulated thousands of passengers to perform simulated terrorist attack on 4 MRT stations and a bus interchange and was lasted about 3 hours.
