In the 1970’s, the whole sports world started changing and Onitsuka Tiger™ was at the forefront of this revolution. With a new type of all-weather track introduced, there was a need for the “TIGER PAW™ DS-5700”, the first all-weather track shoe in the world. A special type of outsole was developed that had interchangeable cleats and also addressed the condition of hydroplaning on rainy days. The Runspark™ was the spikeless version of this shoe and was one of the lightest all-weather track shoes at the time.
